Making Extra Garden Space

In May 2011 after the weather started warming up I figure it's time to start planting the garden. The garden area last year just wasn't big enough for all I want to plant so this year I am enlarging it and using the railroad ties to frame it since that has always worked well for me. There are peas planted under the tarp and I am experimenting with garbage can potatoes.

I want to try some blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries but didn't know where to plant them. Then Lori came up with this good idea to terrace the hill down in front of the deck so here is my newest project for the summer of 2011.
