Two last projects to start in October 2011 before going indoors. Lori thinks we need stairs going down from the Kitchen deck to have better access to the lower deck. I guess that makes sense so we won't have to take food and stuff out through the front door and around the house to the back or take it through the livingroom to the stairs, go downstairs and wind through the boxes and then out the basement door. As long as we had to pour a cement pad at the bottom of the stairs and because having the stairs might make it more difficult to mow around my wife suggests, (isn't she a sly manipulater) "We might as well put a nice patio right here under the deck and out the basement door!" Sounded good at the time, and she did help me to cement in the poles and frame the landing for the stairs. Here I am shoveling more dirt, hauling more rocks and pounding out a level base for the stone patio! Where's my wife, you might ask? She works every other saturday at the bank!
